Hands-On Training in Baltimore
Dr. Aram Chobanyan and Dr. Adi Mhoyan attended the 36th Annual Baltimore Limb Deformity Course, where they gained hands-on expertise in corrective osteotomies and limb reconstruction techniques that they will now bring back to Armenia.
The course provided extensive practical training in the principles of correcting various limb deformities, with particular emphasis on preoperative planning.

Bringing New Approaches Home
Reflecting on the experience, Dr. Mhoyan shared:
“Participating here was very interesting. It helped me understand everything well and learn new approaches to use in our hospital. The lecturers are the best in the field: John Hitzenberg, Mark Eidelman, and, of course, our good friend Vache Hambardzumyan.
There was a lot of practical work during the course, covering the principles of correcting various deformities and proper preoperative planning. We will definitely improve preoperative planning in our hospital, especially for planning limb deformity corrections.”

Knowledge That Travels
The value of an experience like this extends beyond the course itself. Dr. Chobanyan and Dr. Mhoyan return to Armenia with new knowledge and techniques that can be applied in their own hospital and shared with colleagues—expanding the impact of specialized training far beyond two surgeons.
This is ARC's mission in action: investing in medical professionals today to strengthen patient care in Armenia for years to come.
